Woman Faints when ‘Spiderman’ Drops In

A woman had the fright of her life when a “spiderman” appeared on her balcony in a 26 storey apartment block in Chingqing Municipality, causing her to faint.

When she came around, the man was standing beside apologizing profusely.

The man and his girlfriend share an apartment with the woman. The man pulled the stunt to scare his girlfriend after an argument.

Break-Up Professionals Split Opinion

A company that assists people to end there relationship is enjoying brisk business in the city of of Zhongshan in Guangdong Province.

The firm was setup at the start of the year and currently employs more than 100 people.

It charges 150 yuan ($19US) to send out “trained staff” to help their clients meet their partners and persuade them to split up.

The company says its success rate for separations is 95 percent.

But the business has sparked fierce debate among locals with traditional values who see the practice as unethical.

Flock of Crows Menace Students in Tainjin

Some female students in a university in Tianjin avoided a busy woodland area on the campus when a clock of crows passed through.

Fears of being covered in bird faeces and superstition that the birds’ raucous calls at night fall would bring bad luck prevented many students from walking through the area.

But experts said the students should not be concerned as the birds usually migrate to a warmer climate in winter.

Many young jobseekers, mostly university graduates from Chingqing Municipality, are waiting anxiously by the phone in anticipation of job offers.

‘I feel like my phone might ring at any moment since I began looking for a job.” said Song, a university graduate. And many of his peers agreed it was an anxious time.

One psychologist said jobseekers should talk to friends of family members to relieve the stress of looking for work.

Life Without Veggies Does Farmer No Harm

A farmer in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province is in good health considering he has had a lifetime free of vegetables.

Qiu, 59, was born to a poverty-stricken family - vegetables were unaffordable during his childhood.

But when his family’s financial situation improved, Qiu developed a good appetite for almost any food except vegetables.

His mother once tied him up and fed him vegetables, but he vomited immediately after swallowing them.

He went to a doctor for a check-up to make sure the lack of vegetables wasn’t causing him harm, but the doctor gave him a clean bill of health.

Middle Aged Chimp Looking For Love

CCTV is shotting a short film of a chimp called Ni Kou that will be broadcast worldwide to help him find a mate.

The middle-aged chimp was born on the Chinese Mainland and is finding it difficult to have a suitable female partner in the country.

Ni Kou recently arrived in Zhengzhou, Henan Province from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province to search for a partner with the help of zookeepers and CCTV.

Boy Learns Lesson After Playing With Fire

An eight year old boy set fire to his house in Songyuan, Jilin Province late last week while trying the fire-control skills he had learned at school.

The boy set alight papers at his home but the fire soon flared out of control and he was forced to flee.

Neighbours saw the flames and smoke and called the fire brigade. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Police On The Hunt For Audacious Burgler

Police are searching for a burglar in Ningching, Inner Mongolia Automous Region, who spent a week living in a house he had broken into after cleaning it of valuables.

The owner returned to the house late last week and reported the break-in to police.

An investigation found that the burglar had treated the house as his own home, even cooking for himself for almost a week.
